Losing a loved one is one of life's most challenging moments. At Church at the Shores, we are here to walk with you, providing comfort and support through Christ's love. This guide is designed to assist you in planning a funeral that honors your loved one and brings glory to God.

Frequently Asked Questions

Funerals are available to members and their immediate family. Non-member requests will be considered at the discretion of the pastoral team.

Funerals can be scheduled through our Ministry Assistant Monday through Friday between 10 AM and 4 PM.Dates and times must be coordinated with the church office to align with the church’s availability.

We are available to host funeral any day during the week with the exception of holidays or holiday weekends.

All funeral services are held in our Worship Center, which provides a peaceful and worshipful setting for remembrance.

A Church at the Shores pastor will officiate all services.

Requests for additional officiants (pastors or lay leaders) must be approved in advance.

Family Responsibilities: 

The family is responsible for providing individuals to read scripture or provide music.

If available, the Church at the Shores worship leader or team may assist, but availability is not guaranteed.

Music selections must align with a worshipful setting and be approved by the pastoral staff. Slideshows or videos are to be submitted 48 hours in advance.

Flower arrangements are welcome, but are to be removed promptly after the service. A display table is available for photos or mementos (please bring your own table covering).

Open caskets are permitted for family viewings and visitations. We ask the casket be closed before the service begins.

We can provide the space to host a reception after the service in our Family Life Center. Families are responsible for food, arrangements and cleanup.

We understand that grief continues beyond the service. Our pastoral care team is available for counseling, prayer, and additional support during this difficult time.
