We are looking for someone to join our team and help launch a future campus that can become a standalone church over a three to five year time period. We provided some answers to potential questions for you in order to create greater clarity. We would ask that the Alliance South partners with us to launch a new campus that can become a new stand alone church.

THREE AREAS OF NEED 

  • We need prayer and encouragement.
  • We need help discovering the right person to join the team as a campus pastor/planter.
  • We need financial assistance.

SPECIFIC FINANCIAL REQUEST

  • We would like to ask for a total of $150,000-$200,000 over a three year timeline.
  • As a church family, we are committed to invest $75,000 to 100,000 over a three year timeline as well. After that point in time we will be assuming the salary and full cost of the campus.
  • The cost would go toward the following:
    • Campus Pastor salary for three years.
    • Rent for a space, flyers, marketing, supplies, etc for the first year.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS

We are currently investing into our Student Pastor Ryder Sabbagh, who will not be ready until closer to 2025. He is 21 and in his 1st year of marriage.

Genesis Church is a multigenerational church family located in Gulf Shores, AL. We have a clear and compelling mission to lead people to take their next step with Jesus. The church was replanted in November 2018 and is led by our Lead Pastor Shawn Kennedy.

We are located in a coastal community called,
“Gulf Shores, Alabama.” The city of Gulf Shores is a part of Baldwin County, AL, which happens to be the fastest growing county in the state. Gulf Shores was also named the fastest growing community over 10,000 people in the state.

We are taking a greenhouse approach to establishing new church plants. Here is a five year plan from a 30,000 foot level perspective.

YEAR ONE: LEARNING

We would invest into you and your family through intentional mentoring as well as provide an active way to serve based on your gifts.

YEAR TWO: LOOKING

We would work with you to clearly identify the area that would become a campus and eventually a stand alone plant. You would build a team, start a small group in that area, and begin networking.

YEAR THREE: LAUNCHING

We would help you launch a new campus and celebrate the beginning of a new work.

YEAR FOUR: LEADING

We would work with you to lead this campus into a health direction with a firm foundation.

YEAR FIVE: LANDING

We would discern with you whether or not the campus moves into a stand alone church plant or continues as a campus.

Yes.

We will invest $50,000 a year for the first three years into the campus pastor as well as provide insurance investment of $500 a month.

At the end of three years, we will evaluate and consider compensation adjustments based on several factors like the health of the campus, available resources, etc.

Our desire is to have a campus pastor join us in Spring of 2023 with the goal of launching a new campus by February of 2025.
